As part of the Community Inclusion programs funded by Community Living British Columbia the Cedar Crest Society offers services to assist eligible individuals seeking employment or volunteer opportunities in the community.
The program offers a combination of work experience, ongoing support and training to assist individuals to find and maintain employment. These services will be provided in the community of 100 Mile House.
Cedar Crest works collaboratively with other agencies such as WorkBC, as is required. The Society will provide all necessary skills, materials, expertise and organizational/administrative support necessary to deliver the services. It will participate in integrated case management processes and activities, and in development of individualized plans and programs.
Cedar Crest develops work opportunities (either paid or volunteer) and matches jobs to clients. The program assists consumers with the development of résumés and work-related documents. Cedar Crest will train clients in needed skills prior to job placement and on the job, or enable clients to access necessary training.
The Society will monitor job placements, provide on-the-job support as needed and provide or arrange transportation to and from the work site. Cedar Crest may also make written agreements with employers regarding employment goals, goals for learning, salary and supervision.
